This is our recommended chest for machining/gunsmithing due to its size and organization versatility. The deep top well is great for larger hammers, mallets and punch set blocks. It also has the distinctive machinist book drawer, which could also hold taller items instead. The narrower drawers are perfect for calipers, micrometers, depth gages, and rules. This chest is large enough to provide storage for a tool collection that tends to keep growing (and growing). Our B2705 base can be added for additional tool storage space, as can the R3007.
